Art & Music
Jessie Katz-Greenberg- One of my favorite artists. I had seen the artwork she had done for Nyack based band Midnight Brigade and her other awesome artwork and immediately wanted to work with her. I asked her if she could do album art for Stay Calm and Carry On and what she produced was ...Wow. The Art you see on the home page is what Jessie made for Stay Calm and Carry On. Below is a link to Jessie's Online Art Store. Check it out! Lots of Affordable Great Art!
Don Ryan - One of my favorite up and coming singer-songwriters that I have the pleasure of calling friend. Don's style is like Tom Waits (but without the gravely voice, like a young Tom Waits) meets Johnny Cash meets ... itself? It's fucking cool! Just listen dammit!
Janet LaBelle- The Lovely Janet LaBelle is another of my favorite up and coming singer-songwriters. Janet's overall style reminds me of Best Coast with a touch of Beatles and vocally she reminds me of a great old school soul singer from the Motown Era. There's a song of Janet's called "Goodbye Baby" that makes me think of Norah Jones meets "Let It Be" by The Beatles with Sarah McLaughlin on top on the vocals.
Jaclyn Falk- Awesome Female Singer-Songwriter and person. Jaclyn's Style reminds me of Sara and Tegan mixed with something else. Great Catchy Heartfelt Songs.
Matthew Bellina A.K.A. The Tella - Matt did a guest spot at Maxwell's 4/6/13 with the Joe Mifsud Band for The Seed 2.0 into It's Tricky. It was awesome! Matt is currently working on a mix tape and it's sounding DOPE! Check out Matt's Music!
Regret The Hour- Great Young Nyack Based Band! Great Musicians and Great Guys! Regret The Hour's style is like The Bends' Era Radiohead with tasteful touches of Kings Of Leon and U2.
Billy Tooma- The Multi-Talented Billy Tooma and I have been friends since 2006. I've contributed music to Billy's independent films as well as lent my acting abilities to them. Billy is a published poet, full-time English professor and has recently established a small publishing company with two of fellow English College Professors for up and coming writers. The publishing company is called Osma Press.
Jack Gattanella- Owner & Founder of Whiplash Film- Jack and our mutual friend Matt Rosen partnered up to film the "Bound" music video. While on the set of "Bound", Jack and I discussed our creative endeavors and if any of his films needed any music. "Green Eyes" a film by Jack needed music for a scene and I contributed "Passion in the Darkest Places" featuring Elle Petra on vocals.
Christina Raia- An up and coming filmmaker that I networked to through my friends Gabriel and Rafael Francisco at Francisco Productions. Christina is working on several projects including a horror film called Summit , which I wrote a song for that's in consideration for the soundtrack.
Francisco Productions- I've been friends with the Francisco Brothers since I meeting them in 2011 through my old job and at a chance encounter at a 24 hour Starbucks. The Francisco Brothers produce nothing but awesome! Not only will I be working on a music video for 5 Months , the first single off of Stay Calm and Carry On, with them but I will be contributing a song to their upcoming full length feature film called, "Awful Sexy". Check out their website! It's pretty self-explanatory.
Zack Zannini- I met Zack through my friends the Francisco Brothers. Zack took photos and video of The Joe Mifsud Band's Performance at Maxwell's on 4/6/13. Zack has done a lot of great photography which can be seen at his website.
David Gettis- Cross-Country Running buddies from way back in the day circa 1999. David is a talented writer and great friend. David has a great publishing company called Bryce Cullen, which is for prospective authors that offers a variety of options. Bryce Cullen is ideal for self-publishers.
Billy Tooma- The multi-talented Billy Tooma and I have been friends since 2006. I've contributed music to Billy's indepedent films as well as lent my acting abilities to them. Billy is a published poet, full-time English professor and has recently established a small publishing company with two of his fellow English College Professors for up and coming writers. The publishing company is called Osma Press. Authors may submit work for consideration and if the Osma Press is interested, authors will be notified in regards to a potential publishing deal.
John Trigonis- I met John at an Open Mic night at Havana Bay Coffee back in 2003... damn it's been a long time bro! John was reading poetry and I was playing guitar and singing. Since then John went on to become an adjunct professor, always the filmmaker and poet and now published author and now works for Indiegogo. John had a successful fundraising campaign for his short film Cerise and has gone on to advise several successful fundraising campaigns as well as write a book about it. In March of 2013, Michael Wiese Productions published Trigonis' book," Crowdfunding for Filmmakers" . I read the book myself and it's fantastic! I will be submitting my own review on Amazon.
Check out "Crowdfunding for Filmmakers" !
Kendra Beltran- One of my favorite reviewers! Reviewing pretty anything and everything pop culture, Kendra gave the first review of Mifology and Kendra recently reviewed Stay Calm and Carry On but won't release the review until I release the album. Touche Kendra.. Touche.
